The Union Public Service Commission



The Union Public Service Commission commonly known as UPSC.UPSC first established on the October 1, 1926 under the chairmanship of sir rose barker. The government of India act 1935 envisaged public service commission for Federation and Provisional Public Service Commission. On 26 January 1950 when the Indian constitution came into existence Federal Public Service Commission known as to be Union Public Service Commission.    it works under the recruitment agency for government of India for the group A and group B is a national wide competitive examination. Present chairperson is Pradeep Kumar Joshi.

UPSC conducts  Recruitment candidates for all Indian services, central services and cadre ,armed forces etc

Eg:-Indian Administrative  Service(IAS),Indian Police  Service(IPS),Indian foreign service(IFS), engineering service etc.

Headquarter of UPSC is in New Delhi which operates all over the country.

UPSC examination is conducted in the “Three stages”

First stage is preliminary examination of 400 marks which includes general studies and quantitative aptitude 200 marks of each paper.

Second stage is mains exam whoever qualifies in the preliminary exam will be eligible to write the mains exam which contains 9 papers in it.

Third stage is personality test which is nothing but an face to face interview.

Eligibility to write the UPSC exam age is  21 to 32 years. Qualification must be graduation in any field.

This examination is conducted every year once. Civil service examination (UPSC) is the one of the most toughest exam conducted in was a great initiative taken in the country.

Civil  servants works all over the country among the various sectors in India. Civil servants are the ideal for all over the country.
